Trustee Dennis Giambroni gave the report for the fire department and said that Fire Chief Dave Ward has submitted a grant application through the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation for a grant in which the department could receive up to $15,000 for firefighting safety gear. “They also approved to give money for the basketball court once we figured what’s going on with that.” “They are willing to give some money out of the association to get these cruisers equipped,” Kinemond said. The patrolman’s association spent approximately $1,800 to purchase shotguns for the two new cruisers, along with two ARs at approximately $1,500 and $3,500 for a light bar. Kinemond also reported he found out the state is reimbursing for hours and he is looking into that more and hopes to get some money through that. Kinemand said he anticipates the officers to be done with the training within the next month. Liverpool Township police officers are working on finishing their CPT (state required training) hours. ![]()
